Swabian meadow fruit, artisanal perfection and passion - everything is connected

Picking and biting into most old WiesenObst varieties is not recommended - the Swabians call the combination of intense, tart flavours that characterise these tannin-rich fruits 'räs'.

And it is precisely this characteristic that we at Manufaktur Jörg Geiger value.

These intense flavours make Swabian WiesenObst ideal for the production of distillates, sparkling wines, our non-alcoholic classics or for refining our new non-alcoholic stills: GRAD°WANDERUNG.

Regionality: a promise from the manufactory

Centuries-old Swabian fruit varieties, woodruff, juniper, meadowsweet, yarrow - these are all products of nature, bound to time and place: Trees, herbs, grasses and shrubs have their own individual annual rhythm for growth, flowering and ripening. And they don't thrive everywhere, but have their own location, need sun or shade, thrive in or on the edge of our sparse deciduous forests or are part of the diversity of a Swabian orchard meadow.

 -
Sustainability and biodiversity: the core of Jörg Geiger's philosophy

In close cooperation with over 370 farmers, the manufactory collects 80 different types of fruit from a radius of 100 kilometres. It deliberately pays the hard-working fruit suppliers prices above market value in order to support the sustainable care of the orchards and preserve the biodiversity of this unique agricultural area. The manufactory's products are therefore not only a treat for the palate, but also a valuable contribution to environmental and landscape protection.

 -
Moments of pleasure: more than non-alcoholic sparkling wine and wine

Manufaktur Jörg Geiger offers a wide range of drinks to suit every taste. Whether alcohol-free sparkling enjoyment with the innovative PriSeccos and the new ViSecco line, the complexity of still dry wines or the refreshment of the Swabian WiesenObst Cider - each creation is a testimony to the dedication and respect for nature and its diversity.

 -
Tradition meets innovation: the mission behind our diversity
Jörg Geiger's approach combines the best of two worlds: the preservation of traditional knowledge about fruit varieties and cultivation methods with a constant willingness to break new ground through innovation and research. This symbiosis is reflected in every product and in the manufactory's sustainable philosophy.

Original & Pioneer

Experience the fascination of the manufactory and discover how the unique combination of old fruit varieties, craftsmanship and innovative spirit leads to incomparable flavour experiences. Immerse yourself in the world of traditional Swabian meadow fruit, refined by the creative hand of a true pioneer.

The orchards with their towering, old giant trees not only characterise the landscape on the edge of the Swabian Alb, they are also biotopes full of herbs, shrubs and flowers. At the manufactory, we know and appreciate and combine them with meadow fruit to create our sparkling, non-alcoholic PriSeccos.

Nowhere is this better understood than when hand-picking single-variety meadow fruit.
Walking through a meadow orchard teaches you to see the rhythms of the year in a new light, inspiring new combinations of meadow fruit, herbs, aromas and flavours. And working in the manufactory allows us to experience directly that the old varieties are a rare commodity and the space in which they grow is something special.

A project for the future

FUTURE-ORIENTATED ORCHARDING

In times of increasing climate change, the adaptation of agricultural practices is of crucial importance in order to ensure the future profitability and sustainability of production. In this context, orchards play an important role, as they not only contribute to the preservation of biodiversity, but also offer a wide range of ecological and economic benefits. This interim report sheds light on the current project, which is focussed on promoting future-oriented orcharding that is adapted to climate change.
